My father in law hit a pothole riding his bike back from the beach. When he came to and reach the hospital, He check his pockets for his 7 talismans that's worth about 100k baht .. All gone. Well it was still the " good samaritans" that called the police n had him brought to the hospital.

 

Maybe the talismans saved his life.. 

Lost something, gain a life.

Not new I'm afraid.

Years ago Dutch friend of mine was sideswiped by a truck and the car ended up upside down in a luckily dry ditch.

As he was coming slowly coming back from being knocked out and still very woozie he was aware of people in the car but could do nothing. 

Laptop, watch, wallet and passport all vanished as did the truck that hit him.
