Bomb disposal experts called after man finds grenade at his home

SAKHON NAKORN: -- A villager building behind his house found an unusual item in the loads of earth delivered to make a base for a pig sty.

 

Contained in the earth was an M26 grenade. Panuwat Srichai, 24, who lives in Dong Ma Fai sub-district of Sakon Nakorn said he was flattening the earth when he made the discovery, reports Daily News.

 

Police arrived and put an old tire round the device before calling local bomb disposal experts.

 

The grenade was old and rusty and had had the firing mechanism tampered with. They took it away for disposal. They said that had it exploded it would have an effective radius of between 15 and 20 meters.

 

Panuwat said that the earth had been delivered by a contractor in five loads of a sex-wheel truck.

 

Police think that the device was probably owned by a local teenager who had hidden it to escape the consequences of the law.

And we all know that all  teenagers possess their own stash of grenades. Duh

Amazing how Thai police can look into their tea leaves and see the grenade was owned by a teenager trying to hide it

Wish some of the genius was on the police forces in the United States. No telling how they can see things

will help USA police nail things down so clearly. I think even better than the AMBER ALERT 

They can just look at the tea leaves and see who kidnapped the child and where they are
