Suspect No 1 doing the pointing.

It is indeed a sad tail and indicative of what generally is perceived about the goings' on in Thailand

Sometimes the cynicism on TVF is truly unbelievable.

That is true and most of it is workplace / locker room banter.

There is also a lot of experience on TVF.

Why should she?  Wasn't her money.

 Is now.

I imagine the wife has good grounds for slander charges to be brought against some of the posters on here....

I'd like to hear their defence when questioned by a lawyer.

12,000 Bht is a very cheap price to pay for an important lesson, peanuts !

Even worse for me working in Myanmar.  12,000 baht is about 450,000 kyat, which at the very least means 45 x 10,000 kyat notes.  I usually carry a few hundred $ in a mix of 5,000 and 1,000 kyat notes. There is no way that you can fit that 'wad' into a pocket!

One more reason (if one was ever needed) for the a reprise of the fashion fad of cargo pants/shorts?

only 12000 baht? why the fuss hardly his life's savings, surely there are more worthy newsworthy items?

I'd rather lose the money...

So tell us, what's your personal recommendation for a man-bag?

What's a tri fold?

My holds money, cards, i.d. and my phone.

In fact until apple make a new phone that fits into my wallet I won't be buying a new phone.

He should have spent some of that 12,000 baht on new bed sheets. That pink is awful.

Or a clowns pocket !

Have to agree with you, but the last part spoiled it all: "that is 2 nights spends for me."

Bragger.

Yes she can use the 12000 baht to retain a lawyer

If your phone fits your wallet, must be one of them full-size British ones?

you should use that imagination to learn the difference between slander and libel.

Neither really.

Just a simple fold in half but has little segment/pocket on one side that can fit phone in.

Fits into front pocket of jeans.

One of those things made for the phone first and wallet second.

Neat, compact and functional.

Certainly makes life easy and easily fits 12,000 baht.

Lot safer than a wardrobe as well...

Now now, this thread has already been hijacked by the faux fashion police and not the legal wannabe brigade. Go hijack your own.

Well, call it "experience" and get on with it. While THB 12'000 buys quite a lot of many things in in Udonthani most likely I just hope for Khun Jeraman, that there is some more in the bank; write-off the EUR 300 as as Happy New Year fee ;-)

Look at her family prime suspects.

Years ago i hid 19.000 baht in shoes in a wardrobe, went later to get some money, all gone.

On checking who has been in my bedroom usual answer !! mai roo !!

Mother in law acting very shifty, i said get the police, i was told mil took it for safe keeping.

She did keep it safe

From you :shock1:

It's not about the money, it's about the principle. If you leave something in your house, it should be safe.

Today it's "only" 12,000 tomorrow it'll be 20,000. Next time it'll be... you get the picture.

I find it intriguing that the thief knew exactly WHERE and WHEN to break in.

Im going to say she thinks the house is a dump and wants him to buy a bigger and better one , so is trying to convince him the place is a crime ridden hell hole !!:w00t:

Wife" I want to visit my mum today"

German man "okay no problem"

At the mil house.

"German man" That is  nice new washing machine"

Wife" Yes it was 12999 baht discounted from 20k and I forgot to mention you owe me 999 bht.

"German man" No problem let me just get it from my sock"

Wife" Don't worry about it I took it when I cleaned your socks"

German man" Thank you teerak you are so much better than the fat Helga's in Bavaria"
