My condolences to the couple who had their privacy and home space violated.

However, there is a great lesson to be learned here.

The reality is that in the grand scheme of things, 12,000 baht is chump change.

They will easily survive the rip-off and make appropriate adjustments to their personal security.

It sucks that it happened, but they will be fine.

 

I had to laugh at a couple of the comments.

No, people, the wife was not a part of this rip-off and invasion of privacy.

I suspect it was some local punks who targeted the farang.

They were probably jealous of him and thought they could "get paid".

Aw c'mon, I'm as poor as a church mouse, but 12,000 bt is bugger all, hardly worth reporting. Hardly the crime of the century. If you leave money hanging around the house it will disappear. A Thai girl will go through your pockets as a matter of course, believe me Sherlock Homes has nothing on these girls. My girl can tell if I've been out or not just by the position of my shoes in the hallway. To be fair, it might be a bit of a shock to a newbie. You always know if was your girl or not because because she will be pissed off angry, if someone stole money that she thinks should be hers.
