Hello, can anyone help?

 

I have lived in Chiang Mai for 3 years and have a Non -IMM visa, work permit etc. I will be getting my re-entry visa before my visit to the UK in March 2017 - returning May 2017. Whilst in the UK i will need to renew my UK passport as it expires in August 2017. Will my re-entry visa still be valid in my old passport to re-enter Thailand in May or do i need to get it transferred into my new passport whilst in the UK? how and where would i do that?

If you have a valid multiple entry visa or a re-entry permit in your old passport it will be remain valid. You will show the old passport on entry to use the visa or re-entry permit on entry to the country.

A re-entry permit can only be transferred at immigration here. Visas cannot be transferred anywhere.

I had my NON-O transferred between passports several years ago.
