PM says Dhammachayo will be arrested at the right timing

BANGKOK: -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha said Wednesday that officials were waiting for the right timing to enter Wat Dhammakaya to arrest its former abbot, Phra Dhammachayo.

He explained that the authorities concerned had to be cautious in making the arrest as there are still between 4,000-5,000 monks inside the temple. He asked the monks who are supportive of the embattled Phra Dhammachayo to judge by themselves whether it was right for them to be in the temple to protect their former abbot.

Although the supporting monks are not breaking any law now, in the future, they may be deemed defying the law, said the prime minister as he pleaded with members of the public to have sympathy with the government for the delay to make the arrest.

At the same time as next elections!

Three long months of meticulous planning. What can possibly go wrong?

Dereliction of duty seems to fit the situation but "no balls" is more likely.

Which will occur first? The arrest or the Rapture?

That kind of goes for just about anyone these days, unless you got some cash or connections.

The green shirts are absolutely terrified of the monks. This is so funny.

How stoic you PM

Good grief, is this will we or won't we prevarication STILL going on?

Laughable, an understatement.  Nuff said.

PM there will never be a right time to arrest Dhamachayo.

Why keep spouting rubbish? The man has made you/ your government/ dsi/ police all look pathetic.

None of you know how to fix this problem, always tomorrow. Well as most people know tomorrow never comes.

Yes, the right timing for Phra Dhammachayo... if and when he wants to be arrested that is. Let's not pretend the PM or any other Gov official has a say in the matter.

When he dies

Pure Thainess, Farang not understand!

Stop pushing the man. I assume his personal Nostradamus already set a date and time to take action. TIT where it's all in the stars.

To back this up, Junta just installed CCTV in Hades, will be watching for formation of ice crystals and then spring into action. Or not.

Nothing happening here same same TIT

A smart person once told me if I could ignore a problem long enough it would go away by itself. She was right.. :post-4641-1156694572:

Cry me a river. Again its when and where to apply the law. Disgusting. I consulted my astrologer and he told me that the stars would soon be in correct alignment to proceed with the arrest. I am forwarding this information to him post haste. My popcorn has grown stale as has my beer while watching this dog and pony show.

YAWN!!!!

when he has fled. sure this guy is a military strong man?

Timing is everything in politics. Good timing makes you a hero poor timing make you a bum.

He is consulting his astrologer for star alignment.

One teenage hoodlum in a red Ferrari can kill a cop, drag him 100m along the roadway and not get arrested; now a monk surrounded by 5 000 other possibly fierce, dangerous monks is also not arrested.  As the PM says, justifiably so.  And people complain about the law not applying equally and without bias in Thailand.  I think my head's been twisted enough to feel a glimmer of understanding why so many TVF contributors support Thailand's new "democracy" roadmap.

my cat wants to know if there is any fish to eat in the UFO, and why has no one has gone in to find it and what is taking so long?

I told her sadly the UFO has flown.

somehow, i prefer this over deadlines that lead to dead ends. the good general may be on to something here. by not announcing a specific timeline, he may either 1) pounce on the cult unannounced or 2) do nothing. 50% is better than 0%.

Tear gas, percussion grenades, sleep deprivation, cutting water and electric seems to work without failure

Ah-huh...:coffee1:
