Is there no risk of loss in transit for passports we send for postal visas?

There is always a slim risk of it getting lost.

If you send it by courier or express mail the risk is small as instructed by the embassy or consulate you are sending it to.

I want to apply for a visa in advance for peace of mind. 

My friend said I could send cash with the passport and the application, that right? Express mail too said i would be doing so at my

own risk. I am risking my passport so sending small cash ( $40) is not a problem, I think. If its lost, I would prefer they returned my 

passport and kept the cash :-)

Also I dont know nobody in Bangkok so will they waive that condition?  Calls go unanswered and I am tired of it.

Sending cash is not advisable and  the embassies and consulates that accept applications by mail clearly state they will not accept cash.

Where do you plan on mailing the application to.

I dont know nobody in Thai-Land and I am pretty good at spotting a good place to check in to when I see one. 

Will they reject my visa for not telling them where I'm staying?

Nope. Put any hotel on the arrival form.

Also put any hotel on the Visa application form if they want one.

There is no Thai consulate in my state. Have only one passport, given me by the US Govt. We are a long way from everywhere. E'en the local post office here. Sorry.

It shows you are not in the US unless you are using a VPN at this time which I just double checked .

Hey, you are more helpful than the consulate folks in NY who dont answer my calls. I am very much physically geographically all -ally's in the US, man. What does your machine tell you, I am in Thailand already? But thanks for the link. I read at the website that NY covers all places including my state of Connecticut. It doesnt say anything about vpn or ip or whatever.  the application form does not ask me for my ip address on it.

My local Consulate ask for cash by mail. I did pay my METV with cash in mail.

How a normal user can see where a member is located?

Am a truck driver it is ma passion. I am a lot older than I will concede and  i want to come to best vacation spots in the world. And I dont want to be askd  questions bout my vpn ip address whatever i dont purchase no land on mars no thank you. just a bit of beach for me if u have the sunset and sundry folk havin a drink and laughter. i dont drink and havent got a fascination for thai girls and i wont change ma mind when i am there. i drove all nite. am going to say yer goodnight you happy folks in thailand.
