This is basically a non story, in many of the bars around Thailand you'll find that there are 1 or 2 girls that aren't 18, either willingly by the bar owner or with falsified or a family members ID card.

I was about to say that , i have not been with a bar girl since i got marrie , but when i came to Pattaya first time (oh so long ago) i was in a girls room one evening , she looked about 22 was actually nearer 30 but had a daughter of 14/15  , who was getting ready to go off to work in the bar , mind you on my 2nd and 3rd  visites a few months later i realized this was par for the course ,even in soi cowboy BKK ,i remember a pole dancer who was 16.

Well I think the law treats 'underage girls' (and boys too I suppose) as 'victims', even if they've been on the game for years. I guess that's fair enough, where else do we draw the line?

I am sure if you tried hard enough you could find a 13 year old who would happily have sex with you.  Just because everyone is happy doesn't mean there is no victim.

      i confirm his wife or named owner is well and truly f**kd .       i knew an english guy had a bar in soi 2 north pattaya years ago and his wife was jailed at least 2 years , he had to pay bail moneys etc of well over a million baht just to get he sentence cut.  

 

so,  who will be found guilty in this instance ?

2. owners wife ( named owner )

kids get victimised by economical, social educational circumstances the deficits of a developing corrupt society..... if u meet them in a bar ( does not matter if they are not underaged by that time as all starts very early ) if u use them for sex even by giving them money u just one in line of their exploiters , yes uneducated poor and creedy mostly desperate  parents are the first in that line ...often these kids gets abondet and grow up with a neighbour or "uncle".... it takes a lot of courage willpower and morals to pay for his kids education in a country where they get 12 bhat for a kilo rice with no social welfare at all nil free better schools,nil unemployment benefits, nil pensions.....to say it was free will of them to sell their body to u i want to see urself if faced with the alternatives ( back bresking factory work 12 hours 7 days a week for a bowl of rice a few hundret bhats and a bed in a dorm ) i never wish u or anyone else to be in that corner...hope ur wellbeeing remains a long time but its likely to change out of a sudden as all things do change and kamma is hardly understood...so as long u are well dont exploit these girls or anyone else so u dont get exploited in ur future state of beeing....many situations that looks free for an outsiders are in real slavery, their smile means nothing it is a mask only look deeper and u discover the truth...

The seventeen year old was named only as "A". Her fate is uncertain at this time as this was not mentioned in the Manager online report.

 

She`ll maybe receive a small fine and a lecture on the immorals of selling the pleasures of the flesh and then she will be back working the prostitution circuit within 24 hours.  The manager will probably receive a large fine as some kind of deterrent to others and the owner cautioned. A total and complete wasted exorcise that has archived nothing except as a warning to other bars owners that if they want to continue fronting their bars for prostitution and  hire underage girls, just don`t get caught doing it.

 

Meanwhile it`s business as usual.
