aussienam
Hello, I am shortly leaving overseas for a few weeks maybe a month and I need to arrange for temporary storage of refrigerated medication (about a lunch box sized amount) because I will have the power turned off in my condo. I do not want to take it all overseas with me and have to chase up prescriptions, doctor's letters etc. and it won't be convenient to carry around keeping cool everywhere I need to go as well. I have tried a few self storage centres but they don't have this facility. I don't have any friends here I can rely on either unfortunately. I am sure there are other expats who have had to make similar arrangements. I know I could ask a few local bars to stick it in their bar fridges for me (LOL). But seriously anybody have a solution? Thanks.
Forkinhades
Why can't you leave the fridge on in your condo?Sent from my SM-G935F using Thaivisa Connect mobile app
aussienam
Electricity bills - I am trying to get away with having to leave it on and then the issue with how to pay for the monthly bills when I am overseas as they do not have an online payment facility available so don't see how I can apply credit to my electricity account. Jurisitic office said only way is to pay at 7 Eleven at the moment. There are warnings in the condo that electricity will be cut off and meters removed if no payment within about 5 days of bill. Not cheap to reconnect. Also, I may end up extending my leave away beyond a month so don't want the fridge issue then being a deciding factor for me having to come back earlier. Having the fridge off, power cut and meds stored temporarily somewhere secure seems to be the right choice. If I could somehow pay advance credit or online then that would be a solution. Upnotover
Assuming you are being billed directly by the PEA you can certainly set up a direct debit from your bank account.
aussienam
Thanks Upnotoer. I may have been misinformed to a certain extent. I will look into this ASAP. Cheers.
Forkinhades
Yes I set up my direct debit many years ago. After we did not get a bill, and was cut off. Sent from my SM-G935F using Thaivisa Connect mobile app
lopburi3
If you buy medication locally expect they would be willing to store for you for little or no charge. Might be safer than the local bar.
