Flustered
Thanks for all the help and now we are quit clear on the way to go. It's an O-A application in London with all of the supporting documentation. Then its the usual paperwork trail in Chiang Rai together with flat hunting, bank accounts and driving license. Everyone has been very helpful so thanks.
skorts
Just to be clear, our Australian marriage certificate in the U.K. was NOT an issue. The issue we had was when my wife, who was on a non-immigrant "O'" visa came to do her extension of stay, off the back of my "O-A" visa. Hua Hin Immigration would not accept this despite being the original and having the embossed stamp and bar code. They insisted we go to the Australian Embassy in a Bangkok, get it certified as a true copy, translated and stamped by the Thai Consulate. They ask to see these original documents each year when my wife applies for an Extension of Stay. Appreciate the OP is looking to get individual "O-A" Visas for himself and his wife but something to be aware of for those going down the dependant route via the "O-A" visa. Flustered
@ skorts Thanks for your experiences. These are what enable others to make valid judgements. So many other forums say "I have heard" or "my friend did that". First hand experience is to be valued. Thank you.
