I'm a 50-year-old Brit with a non-O retirement visa. My first ever 90-day reporting is due on Thursday. I was told to go to Chaengwattana in person this time.

Can anyone confirm what documents are required?  At the moment I have this list:

  • Passport
  • Filled out TM47
  • Photocopy of TM6
  • Photocopy of passport photo page
  • Photocopy of last visa
  • Photocopy of retirement extension of stay page
  • Photocopy of 90-day reporting slip
  • Photocopy of last entry stamp

Anything else? Most importantly, do they ever ask for a rental agreement? I've lived in the same apartment for years but haven't had an agreement for the past few years. I only have bills as proof of address (electricity, bank, phone etc.).

I assume you applied for your first extension of stay (it is not a visa) about 90 days ago at Chaeng Wattana. Or do you have a OA visa from a embassy.

You would not have a 90 day reporting receipt if you have never done one before.

They probably will not want anything other than your passport and TM47 form.

Thank you. Yes, sorry, my terminology is wrong. I got an extension of stay about 90 days ago at Chaengwattana. I don't have a 90-day reporting receipt, I just have the reporting "notice" slip. Anyway 3 or 4 photocopies of the passport will get include everything. Thanks again!

Just a quick update on how it went.

Arrived at Chaengwattana at 08:20. The queue to get in to the Immigration offices must have been about 200m long. I got ticket A54 but they went through pretty quickly and I was all done by 09:35.

The officer wasn't interested in any of the copies of my passport and gave me them straight back. She was however very interested in my AIS and True Online bills and used them to enter my address on the system. No mention of rental agreement thankfully.

I asked about reporting by registered mail or at Big C Lad Prao next time. She said Lad Prao was fine but didn't seem at all keen on me reporting by registered mail. She said better do to it online. I said I'd heard it isn't working but I *think* she answered that it would be working in one month. Not sure.
