4 billion baht to be sought from cabinet next week to help farming sector in South

BANGKOK: -- The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives will ask the cabinet next Tuesday for an emergency fund amounting to 4 billion baht from the Central Fund to help farmers and livestock raisers affected by recent flooding in southern provinces.

PHUKET: -- Police were called to intervene in a fight between two young women at a Phuket Town market on Monday after insults came blows, then a knife was pulled, after one of the women decided not to buy a pair of women’s trousers.

Phuket taxi driver’s licence suspended for six months

PHUKET: -- An officer from the Phuket City Police has today (Jan 18) confirmed to The Phuket News that the driver of a taxi that smashed into the back of a parked truck on Dec 14 leaving himself and two Chinese passengers injured has had his licence suspended for six months.
