Taxi Fare To Silom-suriwongse Area

Featured Replies

Hi,

How much is the taxi fare from the Suvarnabhumi airport to Silom-Suriwongse area?

Where do I take the taxi? Book inside the airport or outside the airport? Which is

cheaper. Any other cheaper means to travel out from there? Will be arriving br Air Asia from KL.

Your kind advice is much appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

The meter taxi fare will be about 250 -300 baht and expressway tolls about 60 baht extra. This depends also on which way the taxi approaches the Silom/Surawong area i.e. from Rama IV or from the river end. One way is longer but may be quicker depending on the traffic. I always leave it to the driver to decide as they should know best, the faster thay can get there the more money they make in the shortest time.

Catch the taxi from the Public Taxi area outside Level 1, downstairs from Arrivals. Go to the taxi desk first and later pay 50 baht extra to the taxi driver as "tax". Make sure they use the meter (which the taxis from the Public taxi area normally do without asking). Total fare about 350 - 400 baht.

You can also catch an Airport Express bus (AE1) but only if you want a long grinding crawl to your destination. (150 baht)
