finy
I've been looking online but they don't show prices. I'm just wondering about those little ones about 50kg. cheers
Mahseer
On Chiang Moi road you'll get your answer as plenty of choice. 6 years back I paid 12,000baht for one around 1mtr x 0.75 x 0.75. Has a tumbler plus 2 keys and took 4 people to deliver. Likely weighs around 120kgs which I see as a positive. .

mamborobert
Homepro on the superhighway had a fairly good selection that size. Price can also depend on digital, key or ttumbler, or some had combination....and they deliver so no Orang37 post related problems...unless your money bags are sooooooo big. Are you handsum? finy
Thanks for shop recommendations but I'm not in city for a little while. Can you pick up any small ones (120 is way too heavy) for around 5k? I'm going to keep in box at security facility, so doesn't need to be one only an Italian Job team member could crack. just don't want to throw passport in a box. mamborobert
Just an observation. The ones on the web age do look different to the ones in store. Store wise you can see size and discounts, and ddiscuss with staff and get delivered same or next day. It looks like the online ones you have to pre-order. Something like a safe I would want to see size, and structure, and ease of use for meetc. Also might have a "better" one at a reasonable price ons ale/display that I had not considered. less than 5k suitabell for ppt and can be delivered https://www.homepro.co.th/product/275596 There are a heap around that figure/size. That is 9.5 kilos. Op mentioned in post looking at 50kg which is a fair size bigger. I would have a bit of concern over a 50kg safe that is less than 5k......but then you would want to securely fix the 9.5kg with the internal bolts. worgeordie
I have the smaller ones ,only about 1000 THB, you can bolt them to the floor, with 4 bolts, been small they are easy to hide, have a couple bolted to the wall above the ceiling,(panels),so will not be easy for burglars to find, and one just in a cupboard, nothing important in,so they can find that. If you have a large safe ,they can be easily moved, with a sack barrow, and easily found, that's the first line of defence, keep it hidden, but depends how many squillions you have to keep secure regards worgeordie Edited January 21, 2017 by worgeordie add on

Many prices: http://www.lazada.co.th/shop-safes/?sort=pricedesc (sorted descending by price) This is not a recommendation, just for getting an idea. I would buy locally. My wife insisted that it is not delivered but taken home by the sons/brothers. She does not want that strangers know about a safe in the house. Maybe not an option for you? Ours is only about 50 kg opened with wheel plus mechanical key.

finy
I think it's more the hiding place that matters. ive seen people break into big safes with crow cars in under a minute. Bolts gives them leverage.

I have seen a lot of thread-hijacking here, and egregious thefts of time by posts like this one. But, I'd rather have that ... if a sense of humor lurks in the content ... than murder :) ... or another sad-sod-story involving a bucking balcony and concrete-pratfall. cheers, ~o:37;
