Retirement Extension of Stay - Phuket - Latest

Down-country, (NST) they require all the regular documents, as described on this forum.

In addition, they regularly invent new documentation requirements:

(forgive me for re-posting from 12 months ago):

1. photo outside house with Thai 'guarantor' **

1. one photo inside house with Thai guarantor.

1. signed copy Thai guarantor's Tambien

1. signed copy Thai guarantor's ID card

1. house location map - preference last year was for a Google map, displaying the coordinates (a bit of a joke, as ours is the only house in the area, so I had to doctor the coordinates).

1. Marriage certificate (certified copy) so as to support my western wife piggy-backing on my Extension.

Bank letter certifying balance of 800,000 THB.

90 days of bank statements, Certified by bank.

** I have heard, somewhere, that this photo should show your house/street number. Anyone?

Great to have this form being maintained up-to-date.

  • Hi,   Just wanted to say THANKS to exppenang for the comprehensive list, exactly what I wanted to know :-)    Cheers, BB

  • I don't think it would have TM2 on it. A TM2  is a " INFORMATION OF CONVEYANCE" form. The acknowledgement form has no TM number on it. http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/download/pdf/form_ackno

  • I saw that but it is in clear conflict with an existing TM2 just labeled ตม.2 without any prefix.   See also the download list: http://www.immigration.go.th/nov2004/en/base.php?page=dow
