What I'm rebuilding has full reclining seats and I may change the centre arm rest to get an overall same level.

Good on you make sure the back seat is comfortable and build in a radio control from the back seat as the ladies like romantic music. A small bar would be a real asset. If your older play that song "The Way We Were" or something it gets them everytime. Good luck on your project post some before and after pics would love to see them. Girl optional.

The latter was the one i remember.dear little thing. My dad was driving a consul 375 low line ,convertible in those days.lovely old car.

My Dad started with a prefect 4 door then a 375 then a Zodiac.

From there went to a Cortina then his last was an escort ghia.

I swear if you cut him in slices he would have had FORD all the way through like Blackpool rock.

All the seats including the rear have been rebuilt with special rebound padding.

Don't you just love those carbs.....

Pass the E45 and tissues

man that took me back to my youth! Just saying Lotus Cortina creates a slight movement where movement has not been registered for a very long time! How I wish there was the sound of those babies sucking up ants off the road with the throatghty roar.

Ah man I am soooooo much in love with those Weber side draft beauties ...........

Het Overherebc any more of this extreme car porn?

Pppppleeeeeaasssseee!!!!!!

in my youth I had a 1600 sport JPS special escort . She ended up with a 1710 cc block gas flowed head ( by A1 motors of St Neots) and went like a buttered pig. Could even whop an escort rs turbo off the lights in the dry ( yeah ok the rs would then thrash my butt but I got away first)

that hat was the time when Plod in the uk employed humans, I got stopped on the A1 after some wannabe in his Granada tailgated me but could not raise sufficient grunt ( or balls) to pass me. As I pulled off ( the road) at Sandy roundabout he displayed his hitherto hidden blue flashing lights.

We spent the the next half an hour talking about what had been done to the engine and how I changed the suspension etc to ensure road adhesion. We parted friends with no speeding fines ( fortunately as I clicked 110 in mine at one point)

Oh man thank you sooooo much for that. I have tears of happiness running down my face, my wife thinks I have gone totally bababobo and the iPad has about shaken itself to death.

Does life get get any better than this?

As KC and his sunshine band once said; " keep it coming....."
