Posted today on NokAir website:

"A safer way to purchase tickets at www.nokair.com with ‘Verified by Visa’* and ‘MasterCard SecureCode’**! Apply now with your Credit Card Issuer Bank***!!!

You’ll receive the ‘Personal Identification Number (PIN)’ for use with your next online purchase.

Before the final payment process, the issuer bank will display the screen asking you to input your PIN so you’ll be confident that from now on, with this PIN, it’s you only who can finish your payment transaction!

*For more ‘Verified by Visa’ information, please go to www.visa-asia.com/verified

**For more ‘MasterCard SecureCode’ information, please go to www.mastercardsecurecode.com

***the issuer bank may need more information like ID Card No., your Credit Card PIN or others to verify your identity. Some issuers may provide the online registration service while some may provide this at the payment process."

Not before time!!!

Anyone any idea when return flights from Phuket to Bangkok in April will be released?

I recently suffered through their sorry website and finally got everything right. I started over several times because of the many quirks. When I was finally able to input my credit card details, I got the message that international credit cards were NOT accepted. I WON'T be going through that again. I had to go to the airport to purchase my ticket. What good is the website??

Don't know if they have changed it or not but last year you could not mix Thai and English when listing passengers which makes it rather hard to get the spelling exact when you have a mix of passports in English and ID cards in Thai.

Actually the site says this will be available "in a few weeks".

Yes, confusing isn't it. It says that on the main page but when you go to the link it implies that this facility is available now. Given I'm told April flights will only be released February or March, there's time for me yet. I hope their flights are better than their booking arrangements. It's tempting to pay the extra and fly Thai for certainty of booking! :o

Not only do they not accept (changed now possibly) international credit cards, but if you called their call centre they would ask you to fax the front and back of your CC to them.

Really secure transactions...

years ago I also wanted my customer to fax the front and back side.

But now thats an extrem outdated methode.

Does not help anything.

Best is: accept it and when you come to the flight you must show the real card.

NokAir have at last come into the modern world of secure on-line booking and you can now book on-line with an international credit card without having to use a fax or email or phone as well.

Just go to their site and go ahead with purchase of the ticket. After you submit for the payment, you will receive popup screen from your bank to register. It is called "Activation During Shopping". Just follow the on-line procedures.
