No arrests in boiler room killing, as wife demands justice

It's not allowed on this forum mate. I could explain it but in fact, if you don't know what I'm talking about you are most likely in the group who in fact finds himself wanting to track her down, console her, and in his mind only, seduce her with his compassion for her loss as she.....you figure it out and it involves a towel and gravity.

I was informed last night, by a very good source(Thai person), the the deceased life insurance would become void and not be paid, if a Thai company, due to the circumstances of his passing. Suicide and other what are deemed self inflicted death results in no payment to the beneficiary. If short, if the insurance company thinks he caused his own death, they won't pay. A good argument could be made for that in this case if we believe all that's been said. Hence, the wife demanding justice to bring out the real facts vs. speculation. If it was a random act of violence of course benefits paid. How can we call this a random act of violence?

Agreed of course it wouldn't be paid.

Bruce, what makes you so sure that he had life insurance? It seems just as likely that he didn't. According to reports, he owned three properties (and who knows what other assets?). Maybe he saw these as his life insurance. It's also possible that he hadn't thought much about life insurance at all, given that he was only 39.

Assuming that he did have life insurance, it's still hard to understand, in regards to a claim, what his wife was hoping to achieve by this visit. Insurance companies require official documents, such as a police report. They don't care a hoot about newspaper articles. The police have already made it clear that they believe that this murder was the result of a dispute over an illegal business. Kenway was also on bail while he was killed. A photo op from his grieving wife was hardly going to turn him into a saint. And if his wife was looking for a favourable report form the police to help with an insurance claim, then surely this would be a clandestine affair?

Wrong, murder would never be a condition for denial.

Why SHE must prove something?

Why YOU not show us the unlegality of his earnings? Just because some people speculate him operated a boiling room? This not must be the true!!! Or? Where are a the pensioners from who he robbed the money?
Why the police not confiscated all his belongings if it was earned with illegal business?

Maybe him made his money in Real Estate in Spain or win the lottery? Who know it?

I am afraid you are wrong. Under money laundering legislation, anybody can be asked to prove the source of their wealth.

Don't believe me? Try buying a condo or property in Thailand with cash. Or try sending the equivalent of 10 million baht to or from Thailand or even moving it around into investments in Thailand. You will be definitely asked the source of the cash and if suspicions are raised, the Thai police will contact you for further information if they think it is necessary.

Real estate agents love cash payments. They will make sure no questions are asked.

I suspect the deceased high ranking policeman friend was more influential in swinging any non-investigation.

I don't think "we" can all agree on that, why should "we"?  What is the fake news source? Bangkok Post photo shows him apparently under arrest being escorted by two Cambodian Immigration Police officers.

I wrote you a week ago but I get an offense post from you 'bout being a new memberand where I get my info from. While you continue to insinuate as a Big Long Timer I tell you Toby is much too intelligent to have walked into a 90 days report trap or get arrested at a a coffee shop at PP. He reported himself, did his story and walks around the rest of Asia.

1.  You wrote me?  You have my address? The letter hasn't arrived yet.

2.  No, not me, I don't do "offense posts", whatever they are.

3.  Well, you are a new member and you did burst on to this thread from nowhere full of very specific information.  And you've done it again with this post.  Who wouldn't be curious about that odd circumstance?

4.  I didn't say that he walked into a 90 day trap, you did, what are you going on about?

5.  I didn't say that he had been arrested in a coffee shop, you did.

I'm so glad to hear that Mr Toby "walks around the rest of Asia".  Why did you think I'd be interested in that gem?
