3" TU Ball Valve - Where to buy

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I've looked all over, and can't find a 3" TU Ball Valve.

Anybody knows where to buy one ?

I live in Pattaya and been to all shops (I think). Am open to online orders (within Thailand) as well.

Many Thanks,

rudi

Have you tried Poolworld Thailand? Also when sourcing my pool equipment JD Pools Bangkok said they could supply.

I did without in the end, but by design, not for the want of supply.

Hi

Do you need this for a replacement or a new system?

If it is for a replacement and you just want to use the valve body, beware that the union threads on just about every manufacturer is different there is no set standard. You must get an exact match.

If it is a new project you may consider a butterfly valve, cost wise for a reputable make there is not a lot of difference, also with very few exceptions they are  interchangeable  with different manufacturers valves, and are far more reliable at that size than ball valves and give a better flow performance especially if they have to be throttled back.

The forum sponsor stock these.

Unfortunately, it's to repair the existing setup.  Right hand side needs to stay

unchanged (it is also under pressure from the pool).

So far I have not been able to find a replacement. Attached is a closeup of the existing valve.

The labeling is:

S.H.

NSF-pw   S.E.

Many Thanks,

rudi

3" is a challenge.

I saw a couple of such stuff on the net but all ending at 2".

I believe, this is a:

TVI 3" PVC Glue-in Socket Ball Valve PN16 90-3 DN80

Valve. At least judging by appearance and labeling.

Amy pointers where to buy them in Thailand very much appreciated !

This the manufacturers web details for that valve you may be able to contact them, for a supplier inThailand.

nsf is a manufacturing standard. copy the photo and send to them.

Do you know how old it is that may help as well

If it is from the bottom sumps ,drains you can blank these off fairly easy done it many times before.

Failing that you may have to cut the whole lot out and start again

FYI, I ended up ordering one from this place:

http://www.jarmjooree.net/

They are in Bangkok, and sold me a 3" valve for 2,290 baht. Compared to 4,300 what

most pool places quoted this was a great deal, and they shipped it free of charge to

me in Chonburi !

Cheers,

rudi
