Friend looking for work in Chiang Mai, how can I help him?

Featured Replies

A friend of mine is hoping to relocate to Chang Mai in May. He is an experienced teacher and his partner has a PGCE. I don't know the work scene up there and am finding it difficult to find things as well as find out what the better schools are. Any help here would be greatly appreciated and if anyone is in need of teachers then PM me. I can put you in contact with him pronto.

What nationality is your friend(s)? Does he have a PGCE?

ENglish, no PGCE but he has experience in Tesol

Unless he is a full fledged teacher in his own country....he is looking at 25 per month in CM...and possibly working without proper docs.  I have been here for three years, and they really come and go like the wind.  Wages are lower in actual and buying power terms than 10 years ago.  Paperwork is worse.

Salaries range from 25 to around 33 in Chiang Mai.
