Hello I'm dutch so plz forgive me my poor english. I"m thinking and considering a full face facelift at Bumrungrad Hospital.

Is there anyone who had a facelift in this hospital? If yes, could you plz inform me? Wich doctor is most qualified in this treatment / surgery.

why or why not surgery at this hospital? Do you have tips you want to share?

Whether or not a middleman who arranges everything for you,.Is there a hotel near Bumrungrad hotel to stay for 20 days? Last question, what about Pattaya Bankok hospital?

It will likely cost more in Bangkok Pattaya and the best plastic surgery expertisie is to be found in Bangkok

It is not choice of hospital but choice of surgeon that matters

Best for facelift in Bumrungrad is Dr. Amorn Poomee but I have heard he may be retiring, you'd have to ask. If he is no longer taking patients, find out whom he refers to (whom HE refers to, not whom else the hospital suggests)

https://www.bumrungrad.com/doctors/Amorn-Poomee

Dr. Greechart at Yanhee hospital is also well regarded

Bumrungrad is in the very center of tourist district, there are hotels and guest houses galore all around it.

IMO there is no need for any sort of a middleman. You can arrange accomodations in Bangkok close to whatever hospital you want, online, easily. Transport from airport, essy.

P.S. I just heard from another TV member that Dr Amorn is still active. I can highly recommend him is what you are after is a very natural look and conservative approach.

Thank you very much Sheryl for your answers to my question's . I also tend to Dr. Amorn Poomee, because of his long experience decades

Im new here in this forum and I learned already a little. I think Bumrungrad is the most save hospital in Bankok because they are used to foreigners.

Good to no there is no need to a intermediary . I saw trough Google maps many hotels arround the hospital. Can you recomend me a good one plz.

Before traveling to BKK I would like to contact him through by phone or facetime is that possible ? Do you have tips? Where did you had your Facelift? Thank Sheryl again sorry 4 my poor english

Yes, I had surgery with Dr. Amorn. Excelent result. He worked for many years in both US and Canada and is board certified in the US. He goes for a very natural look.

You will have to go first through the regular hospital email but I think as discussions progress they will refer email to him. If you can, attach photos from different angles.

There are literally dozens of hotels and guest houses within minutes of the hospital. It depends on how much you want to spend and what sort of place you want - hotel or guest house, facilities, how many stars etc.

Hotel Solo is not on the same street as Bumrungrad. It is on the opposite side of the main street and some ways down the Soi (Sois= side roads,  and the odd and even numbered Sois run off from opposite sides  of the main road).

It would be  a rather long walk (but possible)  from there to Bumrungrad.  For the smaem oney or not much more, you could be closer. Look for e places on Soi 1 or Soi 3. Bumrugrad has entrances on both Soi 1 and Soi 3, it lies between them.

Places that are right near Bumrungrad (few minute walk) include:

Best Western Premier

Ad Lib Hotel

Furama Xclusive Sukhumvit

If you shop around on booking sites you can get the above for about US $40/night

There are also many, many 2-3 star hotels/guesthouses in the immediate area. The clientele of some of them may make you less than comfortable especially if you are a woman.

There is also a residence attache to the hospital called BH residence, with a direct indoor walkway to it. Hospital can advise on booking it.

If with Dr. Amorn, he keeps you 2 nights in hospital. Admission early morning day of surgery, 2 nights there then discharge around noon on day 3.

Ask about getting the necessary pre-op tests (blood work, EKG etc) done in your own country before coming to Thailand if you want to save time, otherwise allow for one extra day for the pre-op work which will be done as outpatient

thanks Sheryl, you are a big adviser in here , yes I was thinking about doing this in my country  the necessary pre-op tests (blood work, EKG etc) done in your own country before coming to Thailand if you want to save time  I have Furama Xclusive Sukhumvit on my list.. But for the following 5 days after 2 days in hospital maybe its more save to stay in  the hospital called BH residence  and from there to move to a normal comfortable hotel like Furama Xclusive Sukhumvit. Is it possible that my friend stays with me in the room for the 2 days in the hospital?

Very exciting to make this decision i was never in thailand, bit affraid i'm too. What is the best time thats not too hot to visit BKK? I was planning Oktober month 10.

What is a must do and what is a never do? ;-) Yes a difficult question ;-)

No problem for friend to stay with you, in fact in Thai hospitals it is expected.. The package price includes private room with sofa where friend can sleep.

The BH residence ambience is closer to a hospital than a hotel and will cost about as much as a nice hotel. But if you are worried about being anle to get to the hospital immediately in case of problem it is petfect for that, one phone call and they get you in a wheelchair straight on over.

It is extremely from March to around June. Then it is rainy and humid but less hot (though still hot -- the only really comfortable months are December through early February). In October rain will ususlly be heavy and some flooding in the streets.

You can easily find dos and don'ts for Thailand on the web.

thanks for the information Sheryl. as a permanent resident, is it possible to also get a post-op  care professional to visit a recovering patient in their own home for bandage changes, etc.?  also, is there an approximate cost per day or visit? Tried to find this via web but ...

Dr. Amorn insists on doing all follow up himself. It is if I recall just 1 visit a 7-10 days later to remove the sutures. Bandages come off before you leave the hospital.

See this website http://www.thethainurses.com/

It  is listed to be 2,500 baht for 1.5-hour postoperative nursing care visit.

I've been living in Thailand for 20 years and know some RN personally that may be negotiable.
PM me if you need one.
