Hi,

For someone who is applying for a Multiple Tourist visa in his home country, how significant is the "date of previous visit to Thailand" field for the consulate when applying?

If the last arrival date to Thailand was 2 months prior to the date of applying to the new Multiple visa, is that a problem? does the consulate have their own record of the date and do they even care what this date is?

What about if the holder has a new passport without any previous visas/stamps, can he leave this field blank?

Thank you.

You should put the date you last entered the country. It really means nothing and they can check it anyway unless you have a new passport.

I do have a new passport but don't they look in their own records?

There is no records they can check unless the looked through there files to find you last application. They have no access to immigration's database.

Sorry to re-open this issue agin... but I've just read this post by loloal:

First of all I wish him best of luck with his problem.

Is there an official regulation regarding the minimum days that a person must stay outside Thailand before he applies for a Tourist visa?

A link which will clarify this issue would be greatly appreciated by many in this forum including myself obviously.

Thank you.

There is no rule that states a person needs to out of the country any amount of time.

That is a rule made up by the embassy in Paris in this case. Another embassy that has it is Singapore.
