The old Mittraphab Road has re-emerged as water levels at the Lam Takong Dam have sank due to drought in Nakorn Ratchasima.

The road, which is usually submerged, has reappeared entirely, enabling vehicles to traverse it again as water levels at the dam are only 29 per cent of total capacity.

Sutthiroj Kongkaew, Lam Takong Irrigation and Maintenance Project director, said the re-emergence of the old Road was a normal phenomenon when water levels in the reservoir were low, and a sign that the dry season had begun, so people should plan their water usage carefully.

Dry season starts in March? Mmmmm. Summer stars in March? OK. I thought the dry season was the bit between the wet seasons. The so-called winter and summer seasons.

Yup ^^^, the above posts were my thoughts too, the wet should be starting soon.

Are we in an el nino or la nina cycle? Do I need to get the sandbags out yet?

I live south of Khon Kaen its been dry here for at least 4 months and max shade temps 38C.   Dry winds from China deserts.  Air quality poor ( haze ) from fine dust, in the past it used to be sandy particles off the deserts.
