BANGKOK: -- A man murdered his elder brother with the help of a drinking buddy after he was denied money for more alcohol.

All three were homeless people living in the area near the end of Petchaburi Soi 31 in Phayathai district of Bangkok, reported Thairath.

Police found 43 year old "Den" with his head smashed in dead on the footpath by a public telephone box.

They soon arrested his younger brother "Dao", 38, and another man Bunlert Sribunreuang, 77, who were both nearby.

They had all been drinking together early yesterday morning. When Dao asked Den for money to buy more drink he was told he hadn't got any. An argument broke out that was settled when members of the public intervened and police turned up.

But the matter seethed and following more drinking another argument ensued in which the younger brother grabbed his elder sibling and smashed his head into the road three or four times.

Then to add insult to injury the eldest man poured booze down the victim's throat.

Both Dao and Bunlert were charged with murder and detained.

The elder brother was lucky to live in an era before video games, or else he would have got killed by this brother before he turned 20.

Hangover Part 4 - Kane & Abel

The intelligence wispers slowly in the wind.

With the extra tax on alcohol this might become as common as falling off a balcony !

#1 rule in Thailand. "Never get between a man and his Lau Cau".

'Then to add insult to injury the eldest man poured booze down the victim's throat'

Ah, the irony.

Now they will have free food and a place to sleep. Not good but most probably better than what they have now.

never refuse to give some money for booze ....

I know .....  i'm an alcoholic  :burp:

I had always wondered how far these people could sink. Killing your brother over a beer? That is just terrible.

At least his alchohol problems are solved for the next 30 years.

Booze is legal, yet weed.... The world is upside down

How stupid, if you can't afford booze, you certainly can't afford murder. You at least need to have a Benz or a uniform.

Yes the worst someone on weed does is assault a pizza or a chocolate bar, but alcohol is know to incite violence. Its indeed a bit strange. Unfortunately nothing we can do about it.

Drunk people don't think and I doubt this guy was real smart when he was not drunk. The most dangerous people are dumb people who don't think about the consequences of their actions.

Or people who are not in danger of any consequences.

The ar5eh0le Harry J. Anslinger is to blame for this.

Those too of course but I think there are far less of those then there are dumb people who don't take into account the consequences of their actions. But your right in Thailand its certainly a factor.

Primitive, unstable people!

Murdered for the sake of a few Baht/drinks.

What a sad way to go.

Getting between an addict and the source of his/her addiction too often leads to dire consequences.

Circus

Low life's. ..

Life just keeps getting cheaper. What did Harry say in 'Magnum Force'...'...next you'll be executing people for p***ing on your lawn.' Certainly heading that way, that is if we aren't there already. What a shameful sad way to the end of the man's life.

This recent spate of murders for trivial things or minuscule amounts of money sure reinforces exactly how cheap life is here in the Land of Slaughter over nothing.

What on earth does that mean? What have video games got to do with it?

Speechless...

Probably thought he was helping him recover...

Surely no thai would do such a thing.

The thai brotherly love that we all here about lol, total heathens with no real modern educated mentality ...

The news gets crazier each week!
