BANGKOK: -- OF ABOUT 1.3 million housebound and bed-bound elderly people, just a little over 10 per cent have received long-term care services from the state.

This year, the government has approved a budget of Bt900 million to deliver services to 150,000 elderly dependents.

It´s a shame that the old people have to suffer like this. Here they need to speed up the process and handing out the money, so the services are there for them.

Keep on buying submarines, Elites. To H with the country's elderly citizens. Wonderful priority from those Leaders claiming to be Buddhist.

What's use is there for the elderly now? they have served their purpose and

now they just should fade away, while the government blows billions on

feverous schemes like cheap cars, guaranteed inflated rice  price that most

of it end up and rotten rice, freebees here and there, there's nothing left for the

people who build this country....

Yes, as you say, nothing left for the people who build this country. My girlfriend's grandparents, get a pension of 500 Baht/month after work all theirr life's. This is indicative of the level of backwardness in the social security sistem.
