Validity Period For 3-entry Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

If I get a 3-entry tourist visa, I understand that the length of stay is 60 days for each entry, but how long is the validity period? Does my last entry into Thailand need to be done before 3 months after the date of issue?

For example, suppose I am issued a 3-entry visa on 12/22/06, and enter Thailand on 1/7/07. I leave Thailand on 2/18/07 and return on 3/3/07. Can I leave Thailand on 4/14/07 and return on 4/27/07, or does my last trip out of Thailand need to be done before 3/22/07 (3 months from date of issue)?

Two or more entry should be valid for six months from date of issue.

The 'must enter before' date will be 6 months from the issue date of the visa :o

Thank you for your fast replies. Unfortunately, the local Thai consulate (here in the US) told me that my last entry into Thailand must be done before 3 months from date of issue. Do you know where can I go to find documentation suppodrting this 6-month validity period? I have already checked the Thai consulate's website (http://www.thaiembdc.org/).

Not worth the argument.

Go to a different consulate :o

Deal with Houston by mail.

The DC Thai embassy also should have no problem giving you 6 months to use the second visa, as long as you ask for this and supply travel itinerary.

As said you can not win and I suspect your request for a triple raised red flags - they can decide how long you have to use so gave you the normal single entry 3 month period. Suspect if you had asked about a two entry they may have said six months.
