Woman Mauled by Pit Bull Cross She Adopted From Shelter
Yes it does. The kind of enforcement needed is not in the spirit of the people. Not just dogs, this applies to the road safety issues too. -

Harvard University resists
Well criminal libel is pretty much on the backfoot due to various court rulings. And that group libel law in Illinois hasn't been invoked since about 1950. I doubt it would pass Constitutional muster today. And there is no Federal law establishing libel as a criminal offense. As for the rest. What don't you understand about the fact that it's a university imposing rules. Not the Government. The First Amendment forbids governments from regulating speech. It says nothing about other entities. No, the executive can't pass laws that limit free speech. Where did you come up with such a preposterous notion? It could sign into law such a bill from the Congress. But the courts can still overturn it. -

White House Defends Abrego Garcia Deportation, Calling Return "Out of the Question"
He can be deported to El Salvador if the threat to him no longer exists, which (as I understand it) does not. We do not know that he did not get due process, we only know what is reported. Indeed I don't think that "Refugees and asylum seekers who have valid claims upheld by a judge..." are in the country illegally. As I said. Will he be able to clear his name that he is in the county illegally? He would not be tried as a criminal, if he were, he would be entitled to the same due process as a citizen. He has no right to "clear his name". That ship has sailed. In immigration court, the burden of proof is on him to show he has legal status. -

Thai Cattle Farmers Protest Proposed Import of US Hormone-Treated Beef
If Thailand ever imports US beef it will be the end of the Thai beef industry. Thailand, like Australia, produces tasteless beef with the tenderness of Doc Marten airware soles, probably bursting with growth hormones, antibiotics and steroids. Disgusting stuff. No doubts why Thai farmers are puckering up at the thought of competition and being forced to up their game. -
