Yellow tabian baan (Tor ror 13) question

Featured Replies

I have read many threads here regarding yellow house book registration. In one tread i read that the local District Office is obliged to record all foreigners living in Thailand.

But I would have liked some documents in Thai that says this.

I am married, have non-imm O visa. Have stayed at the same adress for 8 years in Bangkok (rent)
Have a copy of the landlord blue house book (no name in the book)
Address certificate from Imigration.

But at the local District Office in Bangkok say only that it is not possible
I read that the government in Thailand in 2016 had issued new guidelines to all District Offices regarding registration of the address of foreigners living in Thailand.

So is the only opportunity I have to buy a condo??.

And they are wrong but that does you no good

Like Immigration here in Thailand District Offices can make their own rules or interpretation of the rules.  Your only recourse, since your location is what ties you to the local District Office,  is to file a complain with the Office of Ombudsman :
