I'm on vacation for 8 days, what to do when I enter my home in Thailand

My family incl. myself is on vacation in Vietnam, we are coming back to Thailand on Monday , What do I need to do with Jomtien Immigration if any ,  I got a yellow tabien two years back in time, so they should know where I live. A correct response is appreciated/ Thanks to you all...

The fact that you have a yellow house registration book does not, by itself, impose any obligations on you upon your arrival in Thailand.

 

If you are the "house-master, possessor or owner" of the residence where you live in Thailand, the Immigration Act requires you to notify the arrival of any foreigner, including yourself, at the residence to the local immigration office. The form TM.30 is used for this purpose.

So if you have lived at an address for several years and a TM 30 has been submitted you have to submit another TM 30 on your return to the same property if you have been away from that property for a few days?

That depends upon the immigration office you use. Some only want one if you change addresses.

Jomtien has asked for one from many people. But not aways for those on long extensions of stay.

TM28 from you  and TM30 from the house master. Fine for not give TM30 within 24 hours 10,000 baht and for not give TM28 1,600 baht (I got 50% discount and have to pay 800 baht).

The max fine for not doing a TM30 form for an individual is 2000 baht for a business it is 2,000 to 10,000 baht. The max fine for the TM28 is 5000 baht.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I'll take a trip down to Immigration in Jomtien, to be on the safe side.

I have asked this question at Jomtien and have received three different answers.  The last answer was as on Retirement and have already submitted they only want another form if moving house.  I work overseas on a 28x28 roster followed by a couple of days in BKK when I get back.  The last answer even after stating the full facts was only need to do once, and the form was given back to me at last extension as no need.  When I asked the officer what to do, the answer was a smile and said do once as no one really knows, and if challenged state that I was acting as per instructions from Jomtien immigration office.  Never tried it, but TIT.

 

The help via the phone from Jomtien is pretty good as well, so save yourself a trip and get a Thai speaking person to call as not guaranteed as 100% on English.

It depends on your individual Imm office and if they are enforcing the law.

 

If you leave the Country and return to your home, then they may require you to file a new TM30.

For a short break away from home within Thailand's borders they don't currently enforce the law.

There is absolutely no requirement to file a TM28 unless you change permanent address.

 

The OP is returning to his same dwelling place as already registered with Immigration.

The 'house master' though, may have to file a TM30 advising of his return to home after leaving the Country and returning to take up residence again.
