Teen finds two thousand AK rounds

A 13-year-old boy found a bag filled with more than 2,000 AK-47 rifle bullets in Battambang province on Sunday. The boy found the haul as he swam in a well in Prey Svay commune in Maung Russey district. He and his father later handed them to local police.
 

The district deputy police chief said the bullets were rusty but could still be used. “There were 2,095 bullets in total. They are rusty and very old so are not in 100 percent condition but are probably usable,” he said.
 

“The boy was playing in the well, which is shallow. He stepped on the bag of bullets and asked his father to help pull it up.” The father and son thought it was a bag of treasure at first, the officer said.
