Only six passengers allowed in cargo bed of pickups during Songkran

While the government waits for full enforcement of new strict traffic safety laws, it says that no more than six passengers will be allowed to ride in the cargo bed of pickup trucks during the Songkran period.

‘Disgruntled motorist’ smashes speed-detection camera in Songkhla

PHUKET: -- While Bangkok authorities this week debated whether or not people can ride in the back of pickup trucks – a common practice across Thailand – the Chief of the Phuket Land and Transport Office (PLTO) has confirmed to The Phuket News that it is beyond doubt legal to ride in the back of pickup trucks on Thai roads.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thai police on Friday reported 22 attacks, including at least five small bomb blasts, in Muslim-majority southern Thailand only hours after King Maha Vajiralongkorn signed a new constitution on Thursday as a step towards ending military rule.
