CHONBURI: -- Famous old boy comic "Pa Thep" was counting his blessings yesterday evening after his Honda City was rear ended by a ten wheel truck in Chonburi, reported Thai Rath.

Pa Thep - real name Thep Phongam - said it was lucky he was not badly hurt. He had been coming back from Sri Racha where he had opened a shop selling Khanom Pia and was headed for Bangkok.

As he approached a ramp over Sukhumvit Road he slowed as there was heavy rain. He heard a great bang and soon realized that he had been hit by a following truck.

The Hino truck driven by Tawatchai Yimyeuan was transporting fresh seafood.

Hearing about the accident Pa Thep's celebrity wife "Khru Jum Songpheeraphat called the Poh Teck Tung foundation who checked up on her husband but there was nothing broken.

Thai Rath said the matter was sorted out by the insurance company.

Lucky he heard the 'great bang' or he might not have noticed he had been rear ended.

So whose fault; the rain or the fresh seafood?

Fresh seafood driver. The rain was starting to cause his load to revive

Like so often in life it was a case of stupidity running into common sense.

No need to get crabby about it. Nothing fishy went on.

Lucky. Being rear-ended by a truck could prove fatal.

Clearly a case of where "The Brakes Failed".
