A Bangkok taxi driver who was previously convicted for raping a minor and has recently been arrested for robbing and sexually assaulting a female passenger said he’d like to go back to driving taxis after getting out of jail.

Komsan Totim, 34, was presented in a police press conference Wednesday night as he is facing robbery and sexual assault charges for allegedly victimizing a Burmese woman. He denied the latter.

According to the 27-year-old woman, she took Komsan’s cab from Sutthisan Road to see her friend in the Pattanakarn area on the morning of April 1. However, the driver stopped his car by Thiam Ruam Mit Road. He robbed and attempted to rape her, Matichon reported.

...just sad, because he is going to get out soon, and resume.... Think the cab company cares..

Tough time for Taxi Drivers...more stories on them returning  left wallets, and positive episodes.

"Media reports said Komsan was previously convicted for rape of a minor under the age of 15. He served a three-year sentence and was released in 2014."

Three years for raping a child?

Ride the BTS, MRT and walk more.

Avoid potential Taxi drivers who rape,  knifes passengers,  threatens passengers with guns and box cutters, those who expose themselves; and those who admittedly acknowledged to the media that the stress of driving a taxi led them to mental illness!

After reading all the media reports and taxi driver's admissions, both male and female this year, it appears many are losing their minds or lost their minds years ago.

Does anybody know how the taxi driver licensing process is done, you know the one that Uber drivers are apparently lacking? Does it involve initial and subsequent regular criminal background checks, because it doesn't look like.

Right on.......would never happen anywhere else?

Well, maybe India or Pakistan but not in the west. Raping a minor, out of prison in 3 years then getting a job as a taxi driver. Impossible.
