I am thinking of obtaining a 20 year Visa, but what happens when your 10 year Passport runs out. Is the Visa just re-added to your new passport at immigration and are there any additional fees for doing this. I see the 20 year Visa as a cheaper option to the Border runs and air flights to my own country over twenty; taking inflation and price increases in to consideration over a 20 year period. The biggest benefit I see of having a 20 year Visa is I will miss all the hassle and have more time to myself to do whatever I want to do, without interruption whenever I choose.

You don't get a 20 year visa when join Thai Elite. You get a 20 year membership that entitles you to get a PE visa that is valid for 5 years from the date of issue. When it expires you get a new 5 year visa.

If you passport expires during the 5 years you could use both passport for entry to use the PE visa in your old passport. There have also been reports that Thai Elite has told people they can get a new visa that will be valid to the same date the one in your old passport expires.

Thanks Ubonjoe. The last sentence looks like English with Thai grammer and I am not sure what you mean with it. Could you please clarify it for me.

I guess I need to find a book on grammar to satisfy you.

Thai Elite has told people that they can get a new visa when they get a new passport. The visa will have the same expiration date as the existing visa in the old passport.
