oldsoulchild
hellooo so im planning a long stay in thailand and will apply for the o-a visa, the website states that bank statement, police and medical records have to be notarised. does this have to be a solicitor? i've read that someone had theirs done by the bank for free (not for a visa) has anyone else had it signed by the bank, also if its by a solicitor can you give me an idea of the charges. thanks
ubonjoe
Any notary public can do it. It does not matter whether they are at a bank or anywhere else. Where are you applying at?
oldsoulchild
I'm still in the U.K. And applying at the Thai embassy in London. I'm trying to figure out where to get it notarised. I read that banks can do it but mine just told me they can't
Upnotover
There is a link on the embassy website to nearby Ashtons Solicitors, some details of same in this thread;
oldsoulchild
The other thing I wanted to ask. Do you think/know if it'll be a problem to apply for the so visa without a return flight booked? I have a one way flight for myself and my dogs but don't plan to come back to the U.K. Anytime soon.

A ticket out of the country is not required.
