I do not believe in a New York moment that this was her own fault. What I do know is what I would do if a friend of mine was arriving for a first time visit to Thailand by his/herself. I have had too many bad experiences with taxi drivers -- especially in recent times - to expect anything 'reasonable' about a taxi providing reliable transportation. It really is a crap shoot. "Most people" are probably not even aware that you can get a train from the airport to the nearest BTS station. "UBER" What is that? You assume that "most people" should think as if they've lived in Bangkok for a while and should know all the pitfalls. They either do not understand their own peoples previous actions or do not care about what they have done in the past. Create a Sex offenders list and ban anyone from jobs that have contact with the likes of tourists, children and females But I suppose the country runs on sex so that's a no no. Most people who visit have been lured here by false advertising and do not know the risks as they where told its the Land of Smiles and should have been told about the scams.
