Hello

I'll probably get a one year extension today based on marriage.

On May 27, I'll go to France for a month.

My plane leaves Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport at 4am at the night.

is it possible to get a re entry permit at this time? And is this the only thing to do to make sure my extension is not cancelled?

Else what are the possibilities?

i just don't want for my 1 year extension to be cancelled when I'm back on June 24...

thank you

After you get your 1-year extension at the immigration office, while still there, apply for a re-entry permit.

It can be used at any time for the duration of your current permission-of-stay, so no need to wait until you get to the airport.

As said it would be best to get it at immigration when you get your extension stamp.

But you can get the re-entry permit 24 hours a day at Suv according to this post.

We are today April 27th

Does that mean that I'll get my extension one month later on May 27th? (It seems I read there is a one month period to get the one year extension). So I'd have to get my passport back the 26th because my flight leaves the 27th at 4am on 27th?? And get my renentry permit between the moment where I get my passport back and 27th 4am??

Yes the extension will be under consideration for 1 month. It can be longer than that.

Depending on when your current permit to stay ends you could get an instant 60 day extension and a single entry re-entry permit now. Then apply for the 1 year extension when you return from France.

The 60 day/1 year extension will start from the day after your current permit expires.

That depends upon when they start the 30 days. Some offices start it from the the date you apply while others start it from when your current permit to stay ends.

Their is no guarantee it will the approval will be done by the end of those 30 days.

Ok thank you.

They told me (at Sri Racha) I could not apply because I need at least 30 days to apply and I go to France in 28 days...

They gave me 60 days and a re-entry permit.

When back from France I'll still have about 2 weeks so I can go again to apply for the one year.

When I'll apply for the one year, I understood that they would give me a one-month extension of stay for them to check my application.

Is it free or the usual 1,900.- ?

By the way, usually, Sri Racha is a bad office. But this time it was great. Great service. However, it's me that had to think and plan the  2 months extension, reentry permit, etc... and had to explain it clearly to the girl... they must be too lazy to think about that by themselves and find solutions.

Thank you

When you apply for the extension, pay the1900 fee and it is accepted you will get a under consideration stamp with a report back date 30 days later. The under consideration stamp allows you to stay until your application is approved.

Will I pay 1900 for the one month

AND

1900 for the one year if it is accepted?

Or only pay 1900 one time

You only pay once for the extension. There is no extra charge for them to consider your extension.

You can purchase a re-entry permit any time an international flight is leaving.  Immigration officials are ready to accept fines from people on overstay leaving on international flights at any time, there's no exception just because the flight leaves at 4 am.  The same immigration officials who process an overstay fine can also process a re-entry permit.  You should come with the documents and photo in order, however.  There may not be facilities to get copies and photos at that hour.

I did not mention an extra 1900 baht my post because there is not one. You will pay 1900 baht for the one year extension that will be under consideration.
