Dead dog on the highway

Do a 60 km ride twice a week to feed some dogs but coming back from the dogs I notice a lovely looking dead dog on side of rd on the right hand lane it's head aproximately 60 cm in the rd it's legs next to kerb. 

 

Traffic was not busy but not clear but I slowed down in the slow lane monitoring it slowly just to be sure it was dead.

 

I stayed for say 3 minutes 28 cars sped past dodging it's head.

 

I rode off thinking I should go back and pull it onto the reservation. I had to consider the owners reaction and immediate thoughts may have been I was responsible.

 

Seen a fair few dead cats but a dead dogs a first for me. 

 

What would you do?

I've killed 2 dogs running in the road, didn't have chance to stop,  the owners are responsible not me..

I didn't stop for obvious reasons.

The last time I saw a dead dog on the road I just drove past it.
