After marrying a Thai lady building the obligitory house in village all seemed good.Being legally married under Thai law my belief was that i was entitled to 50% of everything that we put in whilst married how wrong was i.After 13 years of marrige and one daughter i built an internet shop with 30 computers. My way of thinking was thats me done now as in retired. All was well for five months,my wifes son and girlfriend from a previous marrige was running it untill one day they stopped and said they are not doing it anymore.Bear in mind after expenses i was paying them 20% of the profit.Anyway i said fine get out of my house i will get someone else to do it,course they ain't going anywhere they know i'm f_ _ _ ed.The wife was in Aus at the time and of course they had had it all worked even before i'd brought the computers, anyway she said they stay you go.Next day my daughter told me that there was talk of getting me killed obviously that way i'm out of the picture and they have all the money which was allways their plan greedy b_ _ _ tards. There was no way i could win as i know sooner or later i'd have an accident so i left everything and went and rented a place. Now getting to the title and trying to keep this short, got a laywer who said i will get 1.5 mil which is half of what i spent. After several court appearances i got 500,000 one hundred of which was payable straight away and four hundred a year later. With layers fees and my life invested in it al i end up with 300,000 not much eh?Well its now 16 months later and she has'nt paid me the 400,000,saw another layer, not saying the first one was bent but draw your own conclusions and he has said its all in her familys name and they can't do anything.I feel like smashing up my percentage of what she owes me but i don't think that will go down too well. The point is whats the point of a court ruling when nothing is enforced if your a farang that is?Long as i still draw breath i will not give up but am running out of ideas, one consellation if i do die and ther is a heaven i won't be bumpi ng into her or her mob up there.

Sorry about the situation mate, but you know the old saying! Never invest more than you are willing to walk away from.

Good luck with the new lawyer. I am sure you can enforce the debt payment, but it may cost more than it's worth.
