Hospital bombing: Democrats label attack ‘outrageous and inhumane’

By The Nation

BANGKOK: -- The Democrat Party issued a statement on Tuesday denouncing the bombing at Phramongkutklao Hospital and urging the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) to quickly restore confidence in society by ensuring all measures are taken in a bid to prevent future terror attacks.

The party denounced the “outrageous and inhumane violence against innocent civilians in an infirmary which should be spared from any act of violence”.

The party expressed sympathy for the affected people, wishing them a quick recovery both physically and mentally.

The party also expressed sympathy for the staff at the hospital, encouraging them to stay strong and continue to be dedicated in their work.

It expressed support for security officers in their investigation to find the culprits and bring them to justice.

In addition to urging the NCPO to quickly restore peace in society, the Democrat Party called on Thais to live in harmony in response to the outrageous attack and watch out for one another to ensure there was safety and peace in the country.

The election shoe has not been dropped but it seems some are chomping at the bit at the starting gate.
