That Buddha statue on your dashboard may one day actually save your life

Crikey, if real, that would be even more irritating then the GPS voice asking you to do a U turn when you have ignored an instruction to turn.........

Yes But it's only irritating if you're speeding.

I like your quote. Sea sick Steve, i believe.

Somebody should write a song about this.

Something like......

Plastic buddha riding on the dashboard of my car etc

OMG!  Are we now going to get images of not only Buddha, but images of all the other faiths on peoples dashboard?

Could be the cause of dashboard faith road rage incidents :shock1:

Just for the record I'm an agnostic  :whistling:

I'm pretty sure Thais really only place a statue on the dash in order for the statue to break the windshield first.  Then all car occupants can continue their forward motion out the front of the car without hitting the windshield (lessens and delays head injury for a few milliseconds) and possibly fly a few extra meters down the road before touchdown.   Call the statue a  windshield battering-ram during a crash.

The superior farang technology in Lourdes  came up with holy mary statues with detachable head, for the statue to be filled with holy water.

Or gin.

Then again, no need for similar buddha statues in Thailand, since drink&drive is allowed here.
