Thai looking for Cambodian / Myanmar staff, please recommend agent or easy process ?

An individual can do it, yes.

The agents tend to be location specific i.e. those who work in one province, do not in another. The local provincial dept of labor can usually provide contact i for for agents that cover that province; in some places the agents can be found hanging around the dept.

Be warned that it is not inexpensive and it takes time. Took me 6 months and 20,000 baht just to legally hire one Cambodian. (That is for a 2 year work visa and work permit).

Perhaps you don't treat them well....?

I know Burmese workers who have worked for the same companies for 10 or 15 years ....some even in Management positions .... and get treated and paid very well by Thai standards.

The only agent I know is based in Aranyaprathet and covers Sakeo, Prachinburi. Doubt he covers Bangkok or Chonburi but you can ask -- if he does not he might be able to tell you who does.

Yes to both of the last questions -- but I already knew the person I was hiring well. If you send me the details of the work I can put the word out among Cambodians I know. Even a third or fourth hand recommendation beats taking pot luck by letting the agent chose for you.

why , are they cheaper to employ rather than a Thai. But  must say they are better workers than Thais, most of the Building work  going on in Thailand is done by Cambodians Burmese, but Thai businessmen know they work cheaper, and can be exploited becasue they dont have many rights,

Free electric (500 baht month), free house ( new) free water, 12500 baht a month one person, free rice, free motorbike unlimited  fuel, free internet, free coke daily as I often buy him one when we are  working hard outside, free work clothes, free shoes hours 7am-12 noon 2  hours  lunch as  hottest part of the day then  2 till 5pm, 6  days a  week but often a lot of free time especially when raining

Many Thais dont want to do these menial tasks anymore, they want to sit in an airconditioned 7-11 gawking at their phones.

But maybe you made the mistake to also ask him to work ?
