Million-baht-a-month lottery ring busted, three arrested

PHANG NGA/PHUKET: -- Police yesterday arrested two women and a man for allegedly running an underground lottery operation in Phuket's neighboring province Phang Nga. 

The arrests were made at a staff housing unit at Banglam 'Health Promoting Hospital' in Takuathung District.

The three suspects are Kamol Tongdeeying, 48, a palm oil farmer; Cholthida Makkhum, 35, an accountant;; and Pornthip Jankham, 31, also an accountant. 

“We seized 209 lottery papers, a fax machine, a shotgun, 10 title deeds (chanotes), a voice recorder, bank books and 40,000 baht in cash,” said Col Teerasak Thammasatit of Takuathung Police.

No shocks there, there is one in every village in Thailand.!

Not just villages. Cities like Pattaya also run a numbers game underground using the lottery results. It's big business. You best not think you can infringe on it as well protected as well. We are still in the 60's. God Bless You and OO.

So many people are doing this.  Why is this news and why are these 3 people special?  You will probably find that 1 in 10 people are involved in this numbers game either running it or buying numbers, maybe more.  They don't even hide it.  I could go and buy numbers right now off about a dozen people if I really wanted to.
