Yes it is. So the 'agreement' was for Israel to take out the mad Mullahs while Team America secures the oil and gas flows. Israel is winning that part of the deal with 16 kills in Iran plus half-a-dozen in Lebanon. Team America... meh. Their strategy would have stopped 90% of China's oil imports and arguably restrain their predations on Taiwan, hence limited bombing of Kharg Island that only targeted military installations and avoided the oil storage and shipping facilities. But the US will relocate 5000 Marines with amphibious assault capability from Guam or Okinawa to the Middle East anyway, presumably to secure the island. The mad Mullah's "closed" the Strait of Hormuz, and with the Marines still a couple of weeks away, the US bombs some of the more productive bits of the island. However, China has been over-importing oil for years already and has a strategic stockpile greater than that of several western nations combined. Maybe that gem of intelligence was conveyed by Gabbard to the C-i-C and ignored, or maybe her department missed it completely. Either way, with the resignation of Kent over at the National Counterterrorism shop, she's probably busy watching out for the bus that took out Noem earlier. Now it appears that the US and certain Allies are urgently reviewing the Taiwan security issue since China's threat to Taiwan hasn't and won't be diminished, regardless of what is playing out in the Gulf. Then the Israelis inexplicably bomb Iran's South Pars gas field, which uncorks the world's largest gas reservoir that is shared with Qatar. Maybe that's because they're running out of legitimate targets, or probably because Netanyahu has absolutely no control, and no wish to control, certain elements of the IDF. Iran promises retribution. With this attack apparently coming out of left field, the C-i-C boldly states that Team America (f**k yeah!) had been totally blind-sided by Israel over the South Pars bombing, but if the Iranians retaliate and attack Qatar's North Dome part of the gas field, the US will finish the Iranian oil and gas field destruction job the Israeli's have started. Winning.
