Tib6005
I'm looking to buy a small sala. Can anyone recommend a Chiang Mai company who can manufacture, deliver and construct the sala, please? Size to be approximately 7ft. square. An indication of cost would be really helpful. Thank you so much, IMT

naboo
For an idea of costs: http://www.nanagarden.com/tag/ศาลา I'm sure I have seen teak wood ones at Baan Tawai for 20,000-30,000B.
junglechef
I have a bamboo guy near Homepro on rt. 121 in San Sai Does good custom work, delivers and reasonable priced Has stuff on his lot to see
steven100
Don't buy a bamboo one, they fall pieces after one year. Buy a wood one .... prices vary, 35k - 45k .... for a medium size.

From your comments, the notions of it catching fire, or becoming insect-ridden, fill me with dread. Such helpful input, thank you.

I would expect a Teak one to be far more than that new .Things seemed quiet though in Baan Tawai ,last time i was there ,so i am sure a discount is possible . WinnieTheKhwai
I'd just build one. Much more spacious than the cramped wooden ones with crap wood (even if teak) that are still pretty expensive. All it needs is 4 concrete posts (or metal posts, or wood if you can find it) and a basic roof structure.
