Universities join push on EEC innovation

THE NATIONAL Science and Technology Development Agency has joined hands with nine Rajamangala universities to develop innovation and technology human resources in support of the Eastern Economic Corridor of Innovation (EECi) running through Rayong and Chon Buri provinces.

At least 50 SIM cards seized from three Chinese originated from Cambodia

Initial police investigation shows that 50 of the 347,000 SIM cards found in the possession of three Chinese nationals in Sa Kaeo province came from Cambodia while the rest of the rest are still being checked.

TOKYO/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Seven crew members are missing and at least three injured after a U.S. Navy destroyer collided early on Saturday morning with a Philippine-flagged merchant vessel south of Tokyo Bay in Japan, the U.S. Navy said.

John Avildsen, Oscar-winning director of 'Rocky,' dead at 81

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Reuters) - A Minnesota police officer was acquitted on Friday in the slaying of a black motorist he shot five times during a traffic stop last year, an incident that drew national attention after the victim's girlfriend live-streamed the bloody aftermath on social media.
