There are still good cabbies - this one called the cops after drunk teen passed out then fell unconscious

BANGKOK: -- Sanook reported that there are still good cabbies in Bangkok - and it was just as well for a drunk teen.

But this was not the usual case of a cabbie returning a cash laden wallet.

In this case the drunk girl - aged just 19 - had been sick in a taxi. The driver stopped allowing her to continue being sick by the side of the road.

She had then removed her trousers and was urinating when she passed out.

Driver Natthaphon Meesat decided to call the sops who arrived with Poh Teck Tung foundation staff who found the woman unconscious.

A female member of the staff saved the girl's modesty by adjusting the girl's pants that were around her knees before attending to her.

She reeked of alcohol.

Natthaphon said that an older woman had hailed the taxi and put the younger woman in telling him to take her to Sam Khok.

But as they were going along the Pathum Thani to Lam Luk Ka road she was sick in the cab so he decided to stop.

The story was shared more than 20,000 times across social media.

Sanook did not report on what finally happened to the 19 year old woman.

Wow!

You wait a week for a good taxi driver story (in response to a negative one) and then two come along at once...

"But as they were going along the Pathum Thani to Lam Luk Ka road she was sick in the cab so he decided to stop."

It's about 300 Baht for a car-wash, inside and out.  Calling the cops would probably ensure he got his fare and his car-wash money.  Nothing more to it than that.

Another TaT promotional news piece.

Yeah, it would be negative to say something positive. Right?

I've just said something positive!  If you've been taken-in by this BS, you need to get real.

You called it and got it right, well done.

There are good people everywhere in TH, It's just so hard as an Expat with a dissimilar morals to notice, it's so unfortunate it is in our nature to rather propagate negativity than breed optimism.

Well done cabby, hope you got paid at least!

"Driver Natthaphon Meesat decided to call the sops..........."

Well, they've been called worse I suppose.

When i was cabbing, and a fare was sick in the car, it was a bullseye on top of the fare. You couldn't work because of the smell in the motor for at least a week. The other bad smell was if a woman dropped a bottle of baby milk in the cab. What a stink that was. This bird got away with it light. This driver must have had the patience of a saint, because his cab would have needed an internal scrub.

but does this lovely cabbie argue with farangs in turning on the meter or not? that could be another line of healthy debate? :cheesy:

Jeez, pretty normal with the girls I used to hang with.  Loads of fun

Oh, dear1 Another mindset impossible to save. You do know that there are different kinds of people, right?

That means that some are godd and kind hearted. They deserved respect and positive comments.
Others are evil and greedy. They deserve to hear it in negative comments. Like yours!

I guess you don´t know what bullshit that was!

Plus nobody would have seen him near the girl while her panties were at her knees. He could keep the metre running while doing the call so for him it's just more money.

don't analize it to death just like it..LIKE

Everybody's entitled to their own opinion.

Have a nice day.

That's always a possibility.

Off course! You have a nice day yourself.

Just overall a think that this was a nice thing to do, even if he will get more money out of the metre and at the same time secured being payed at all. I also agree to that everyone got the right to thier own opinion. That´s a given one.

An opinion, though, is a thing that differs between positive and negative. Therefore I do not believe in that helping a person in need of help is a negative thing or should be called BS. There is a time for everything, but right here it was not the right time. What sums it all up is that an opinion is something given different based upon the matter at hand. Not to be confused with bashing, that is always pointed in a negative way disregarding if a person did a good deed or a bad one.
