HM King Maha Vajiralongkorn has graciously allowed the Poh Teck Tung Foundation to organise a special Chinese funeral offering rite (Kong Tek) for HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej on June 28 at the Royal Palace's Dusit Maha Prasat Thorn Hall.

The Bangkok charity foundation, which would be the fifth and last group to organise the Kong Tek for the late King, has prepared a beautiful paper offering depicting the real-life Phra Tamnak Pieum Suk within Klai Kangwon Palace in Prachuap Khiri Khan, said foundation president Wichian Techapaiboon.

The elaborate paper house is presented along with 40 human paper mannequins including a band of jazz musicians, paper vehicles such as a helicopter, three sail boats and cars plus animal paper mannequins depicting the late King's pets Khun Thongdaeng, Khun Mali, and Khun Tito.

There were also paper models depicting nine royal initiatives including the Self-Sufficiency Economy Project, the Royal Rain-Making Project, the Biodesel Project and the Chaipattana Aerator, he said.

The paper offerings were made by the well-known Chang Lek Wat Yuan Saphankhao Shop, he said.

The foundation had previously organised Kong Tek offerings in four Chinese funeral rites for HM Queen Rambhai Bharni, HRH Somdet Phra Srinagarindra Boromarajajonani, HRH Princess Galyani Vadhana, and HRH Princess Bejaratana Rajasuda.
