rAustralian P/port holder planning a 2 week trip to Thailand (using visa exempt entry). Whilst in Thailand planning a 5 day Thailand-Japan-Thailand trip .

- Am trusting I will be allowed visa exempt entry (air) for a second time upon return (from Japan) within 2 week period !

- should I take any particular action at departure for Japan to eliminate any possible re-entry problems to Thailand 5 days later ?

- Am wondering also whether the Airline (Thai) in Japan could refuse boarding (no visa !) or would  an airline employee in Japan be aware

that Aust P/Port can enter Thailand on visa exempt basis ?

- Will make sure I am carrying my BKK/SYD ticket as evidence of my intent?

Thanks for any suggestions

John

No problem to get a 2nd visa exempt entry.

If you can show a ticket out of Thailand within 30 days of arrival you will not have a problem boarding your flight from Japan.

They will certainly be aware that you qualify for a visa exempt entry.

You will likely not be questioned at all on entry to Thailand, unless you have visited Thailand frequently and/or stayed for longer periods of time in the past.  But to erase all concerns, also have 10K Baht worth of Cash or Travelers Checks on your person when entering.  That, plus your outgoing ticket, should satisfy any questions by Thailand Immigration upon entry.

Thanks so much for your comments Jack. The scenarios you mention do not present cause for any concern and the cash+ticket will be easily catered for.

Appreciate your input, John
