Suvarnabhumi Airport officers help return mobile phone to Chinese passenger

 

 

SAMUT PRAKAN, 26 June 2017 (NNT) – Suvarnabhumi Airport officers helped return an iPhone 7 Plus mobile phone to a Chinese passenger who had left it on a taxi. 

Suvarnabhumi Airport Special Operation Center and security officers cooperated with police officers to help return an iPhone 7 Plus mobile phone worth about 31,500 baht, to Mr. Zhang Jiang who left it on a taxi on his way to the airport. 

Authorities checked CCTV footage and spotted the license plate number of the taxi and affirmed that the taxi driver was Mr. Preeda Yowa, age 34. The driver was contacted by authorities and later returned the mobile phone to the tourist police at Suvarnabhumi Airport. 

Since the phone's owner had already left for China, the tourist police will keep the mobile phone for him. Authorities had sent an e-mail to Mr. Zhang to inform him that he can pick up his mobile phone when he returns to Suvarnabhumi airport.

They really must stop with these Rediculous feel good stories.  Taxi driver bashes or rapes passenger then taxi driver returns large amounts of gold and cash left in cab to owner.   Airport amongst worst in world then, ten airport staff return a single mobile phone to owner.  These types of stories are so bloody predictable and make those involved look stupid.  You have flooded the media with this propoganda everyone knows it's fake news.

Another Chinese wants to know when they're going to return his legally obtained 347,200 SIM cards.

lol when this is even a news story, then you know society here is f***** up... 11 people? Credit-photo? Just send the phone to him and get over it. It's nothing more to it than just that. Making a scene like that looks rather suspicious, and makes one wonder what kind of a person you REALLY are.

No wonder the airport was voted in the bottom 10. Everyone's busy appearing to do something.

When he returns!  The guy's Chinese!  He lives in China!  If he has any sense, he won't be returning.  Too much trouble to send it by EMS, is it!

 

Who's the guy with the white t-shirt?  Don't tell me he's the taxi driver!  The photographer could have got on the end of the line if he had used the camera's timer.  A couple of check-in girls could have laid on the floor.  What a waste of a photo opportunity!

Make an effort. Give the pilot the phone and he can get it at his own home airport. That is called help. This is just a piece for the news that are supposed to look good.

Would he have returned it if the 'Authorities' had not contacted him............

The chick next to the tourist looks quite a hottie!!....would not mind her taking care of my forgotten stuff here and there!!

That was my first thought too, with all those people it looks like they returned more than just a telephone to a Chinaman.

Is very telling of a society's "image paranoia" when a story of people actually doing the job they are paid to do is big news! What's the next big headline? "Taxi driver picks up foreigner and uses meter without being asked?" or "Bank teller deposits correct amount for account holder?"

Of course!  The fact that a simple event of returning a phone to its rightful owner is considered newsworthy with a wonderful photo-call speaks volumes for this country.  Still, the owner is now in China and it appears that he has to return to Thailand in order to get his phone back.

 

That is a great way to increase tourism.   Just arrange for similar incidents in the future.  

I dread to think how many people would be in the photo if he had lost a wide screen Tv
